J. Cole released his new song titled “cLOUDs,” which sees him reflect on themes such as getting older, the rise of AI and more politically-themed topics. Cole said that the song was produced by DZL and Omen, with “small contributions” from himself.
“cLOUDs” premiered through J.Cole’s Algorithm blog, and was accompanied by a message from the Dreamville rapper which read: “Just wanted to share. made this a few days ago, then i added a second verse and was like ‘man I got a blog now, I can put whatever I want up there.’ I didn’t have a title 20 minutes ago when I decided to really put this up. But now I got one…”.
“cLOUDs” is J. Cole’s first offering of 2025 and the second track since dropping “Port Antonio” last October – his part in the ‘rap wars’ with Kendrick Lamar last year (which he went on to remove from streaming, and subsequently apologized for).
