NBA Playoffs: Knicks eliminate Pistons to advance; Clippers beat Nuggets to force Game 7

The NY Knicks will advance to the second-round of the NBA Playoffs after defeating the Detroit Pistons 116-113 in Game 6 on Thursday in Detroit, clinching the series 4-2. Jalen Brunson’s clutch 3-pointer with 4.3 seconds remaining in regulation sealed the victory for the Knicks. Brunson led the Knicks with 40 points, seven assists and five rebounds with Mikal Bridges adding 25, O.G. Anunoby scoring 22 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns recording 19 points and 15 rebounds.

The Knicks advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals to face the Boston Celtics, set for Monday, May 5 at TD Garden.

The LA Clippers defeated the Denver Nuggets with a 111-105 victory in Game 6 on Thursday night at Intuit Dome, evening the series 3-3 and forcing a Game 7 in their first-round NBA playoff series. James Harden had 28 points and eight assists, with Kawhi Leonard adding 27 points and Norman Powell scoring 24 points for the Clippers.

The Clippers and Nuggets will meet for Game 7 on Saturday in Denver.
